Stage Six: Finished!

The last week of any restoration is a frantic scramble to make sure all the nuts and bolts are tightened, the cables are fitted and everything works as it should. The official "first start" was marred by me kicking over and over with no response until my friend Michael pointed out that his Benelli wouldn't start from cold if any throttle was used. I took my hand off the throttle, kicked and she started. It has started first kick ever since!

Nice photo of the finished machine. I still have a few minor things to finish off but the opportunity for a photo shoot couldn't be missed!

The restoration website for my first Benelli 2C contains links to spares, tips and tricks and a report on owning and maintaining the bike. To go to that website click here.
