Practical British Lightweight Two-Stroke Motorcycles

I purchased a copy from a web motoring bookstore.

BSA Parts Catalogues

(Absolutely essential. Most suppliers order by factory parts number. Parts catalogues available from British Motorcycle Spares NZ )

If you are contemplating a restoration you will definitely need to buy or borrow some of the books above. Owen Wright's BSA Bantam is invaluable. You will probably need the Haynes manual as it gives some good general coverage of many models. Roy Bacon's BSA Singles Restoration is probably my most "thumbed" book. Difficult to find but worth the hunt. Finally, you absolutely cannot do the job without the parts catalogue. They are available from many places, British Spares being just one.

Book sourcing tips:
There are many vendors of motorcycle publications on the Net. Try those listed above (I have used them all). Remember Amazon UK sometimes has books when Amazon USA does not. Don't overlook Amazon's Z-shops and the E-bay on-line auctions. If you have difficulty finding a publication post a message on the BSABantam group on Yahoo Groups - someone can usually send you in the right direction.
