First published 2003, still in print. The definitive Bantam Book. Lots of information and hundreds of photos. It's a "must have". |

Practical British Lightweight Two-Stroke Motorcycles |
Out of print but highly recommended for a good read! 144 pages on 2 stokes with pages 34 to 73 on Bantams. |
BSA Parts Catalogues |
(Absolutely essential. Most suppliers order by factory parts number. Parts catalogues available from British Motorcycle Spares NZ ) |
If you are contemplating a restoration you will definitely need to buy or borrow some of the books above. Owen Wright's BSA Bantam is invaluable. You will probably need the Haynes manual as it gives some good general coverage of many models. Roy Bacon's BSA Singles Restoration is probably my most "thumbed" book. Difficult to find but worth the hunt. Finally, you absolutely cannot do the job without the parts catalogue. They are available from many places, British Spares being just one. | |
