RESTORATION 1949 D1 - PART 6

Mid-March 2000 : The painting begins!

Mid March 2000

Engine still waiting on the big end and crankshaft.

But ..... I've taken the first load of parts to the painter for "mist greening". Quality of the picture below is poor but I've had the frame, headlight, forks, hubs and sundry other bits done. Looks great.

Sorry about the shadows!

 

 

   

The rims are back and have had the chrome stripped from them but my rear rim is too buckled and will have to be straightened. I am still awaiting a reply from the various parts suppliers for spoke sets - I plan to lace the wheels myself.
