Almost there!
With the repaired head back on the bike we can fit the oil tank, seat and various other parts. Work begins on new cables (we make our own) and wiring the bike - part of the restoration I genuinely enjoy. The Podtronics solid state regulator ensures that the bike will have a reliable charging system. Highly recommended.

Tank Lining
The new chrome plated, painted and hand-pinstriped tank finally is unwrapped. The last task before fitting to the bike is epoxy lining the tank. This is quite a tiresome process and not following directions can result in a disaster. However, we've done quite a few of these and they never leak. Ever. Great insurance after that expensive chrome plating.

May 2009
Finished at last!. Photo session (before it gets dirty) and then off for a ride. The bike is very tight due to running in and needed a little gearbox selector adjustment. Other than that she is wonderful to ride. A huge amount of torque and a very relaxed gait. The exhaust note is glorious. Only 50 miles up on her so far but I will report back in more detail after a few hundred miles.
